šŸˆ LSU vs. Bama Position Breakdown

You are missing the point. It is a talent comparison showing which team has more talent with each unit. You only compare that unit. If all positions are considered in each unit, there is no reason to separate them.

You're missing the larger picture--talent is irrelevant when comparing units on two competing teams. Sure, you have great receivers. The point is they will be taken out of the game by your poor production at QB. If it makes you feel better to compartmentalize the talent battle, so be it. None of your mindless drivel will actually help. Your TEAM is overmatched. I hope those three 5* receivers help you sleep better at night.

Your argument is also invalid based on your own posts. You referenced Bama's QB taking sacks as a knock against the offensive line. shouldn't we just look at the talent of that unit? Give me a freakin' break.

Mr. Food on a Stick,

You are suffering from the Dunning-Kruger effect. Your ignorance is out there for all the world to see.

Edit: The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which an unskilled person makes poor decisions and reaches erroneous conclusions, but their incompetence denies them the metacognitive ability to realize their mistakes.[1] The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average, much higher than it actually is, while the highly skilled underrate their abilities, suffering from illusory inferiority. This leads to the situation in which less competent people rate their own ability higher than more competent people. It also explains why actual competence may weaken self-confidence: because competent individuals falsely assume that others have an equivalent understanding. "Thus, the miscalibration of the incompetent stems from an error about the self, whereas the miscalibration of the highly competent stems from an error about others."[2]

According to this article it is indeed possible to be so dumb that you don't know you are dumb.

So if I have Bo Jackson and Herschel Walker at their peak as my running back tandem you would ignore the offensive line I had which featured five circus midgets. The skill of the running backs doesn't matter much at all if the offensive line is inferior.

It matters in the game, but not as this breakdown goes. When you rate a unit like Scouts Inc does, you just rate that unit. In the game, all units are related.
If team A has Jackson and Walker at RB and team B has me, then team A has better running backs.
If team A has circus midgets as the o-line and team B has 5 all pro o-lineman then team B has the better o-line.

Get it?

Where?

"O-Line
LSU's line is better than last year. Bama's is worse. Bama is giving up a bunch more sacks than last year and LSU a bunch less. O-Line was the worst part of LSU's offense last year and it no longer is.
Slight advantage LSU"
