Only if O continues to be a pussy. I see the SEC moving a bunch of games that do not effect the SECCG to 12/19. In order to play those that do effect the SECCG.
Sighs.... Let me try again. Kentucky is in East Division. Alabama and LSU are in West Division. Technically, LSU isn't eliminated from SECC. Kentucky and Alabama isn't a division game. LSU and Alabama are in same division. It would make sense to drop kentucky and put LSU in that same slot. Got it?

Is it true that the divisional winners are based on wins? So if Barn runs the table and finishes 8-2 and Bama finishes 8-1, they win the West due to the head-to-head win?
If there are some positives out of this, it is that the COVID issues are not with UA, so they can continue to practice with no need to "pause" things. Some guys can continue to heal up some for the stretch run. And now, with the extra practice time, UA has some flexibility for a couple days if they want to dial back the LSU prep and work again on future opponents like auburn (or maybe UF?).
Tiger Droppings is the site to go to and they are indeed hoping that the game is cancelled. They honestly feel as they have no shot at winning and if they do play, BAMA will likely hang AT LEAST 50 on them!

Since 1980, SEC Tiebreaker rules are based on the premise that all teams would play the same number of conference games. Prior to that, the conference champion was based on winning percentage. To my knowledge, the SEC has not addressed the possibility of teams playing an uneven number of games. I would think they would use winning percentage. The number of division games would most likely factor into it also.
While I tend to agree (some of this stuff was bound to happen), IF it's true that some LSU players went back to Baton Rouge after they got thumped at auburn and got COVID at a Halloween party... then the football admin sat on it all week and waited until early this week to take it seriously, then it's hard not to blame them.

I see your point... I'm wondering whether or not they did or didn't sit on it all week would have made a difference... The damage is done when those positives come out.
And I just tend to not blame the kids for going anywhere to party on halloween. I can only imagine the mistakes I would have made in Covid College. I do tip my cap to all these kids sacrificing their ass off though... And I do believe the Crimson Tide is full of some very impressive young men, props to them! RTR

I can certainly understand that last part, and I very seriously doubt any SEC schools are taking things as seriously as UA is in terms of the virus right now. I know for sure a program like LSU isn't, and that isn't on the players (even though they have some responsibility). It's not like those guys are playing for anything at this point either, so it's a bit harder to stay "in line" I suppose.

I think that was one of many reasons the season outlook was so ugly... What happens when teams fall out of contention?! I guess we are starting to see the fall out. I'm sure it's like other seasons in the sense that players just become less motivated and coachable, but the lack of discipline goes form getting your head kicked in to just not playing games... Which impacts the competitive consistency.... And so on.
I have a lot of respect for everyone who made this season possible, but it's hard to view it the same competitively. And in a certain way, it makes a championship even more impressive (if there is one)... But the overall landscape is just different... And not in a good way

Who couldn't have seen this coming? To me it's ironic we're talking about a coach who could literally and accurately be called CEO but is the farthest from an actual CEO as one could imagine. You're right in the sense they don't have anything to play for but in this case it's more of whom: who are they playing for this season?
Back when we saw Saban and Owens organize the Tide's march I mentioned how there were two teams in the conference who had players trying to organize something similar but in both cases the coaching staff knew nothing about their ideas. One of those was at Auburn, the other in Baton Rouge. It was my contention that day, "he's lost the team." As much as they have circled the wagons down there it's still rivaling The Hartford Circus fire. Much like we know AD's to keep a short list of candidates I'm told the LSU administration has its own list being compiled: this was is full of check marks beside "fail here," and "fail there." It's been suggested by some long time collegiate folk his days are numbered; possibly down to a year or two.
When it was a fan or two posting the rumors last week I filed it away as just that, "fans and rumors." Now that we have SI, through Dellenger, reporting they were ignoring positives last week it doesn't fit the rumor category any longer. (This is one of those fail here areas that have been checked.) I know there are quite a few in the building in Tuscaloosa that are pretty pissed off about the way this was handled down there and to a degree with the way the SEC office handled the situation.

And this is another of those checked boxes. The LSU administration feels the same, or at least a growing realization this is indeed what's been happening. They aren't motivated in the games we've seen. Hell, the pretty well quit against Auburn of all teams.
My gut instinct tells me they chose to sacrifice Orgeron on the alter of the NCAA in hopes of shielding their football program from more sanctions. They are also hoping one small sacrifice on the football end may stem what's headed towards Wade. I don't see either as having a lot of promise.
