In case you missed this little aspect of the changes in recruiting periods, this year is the first they've declared July and August a deal period. Traditionally, it's been a period were you could have a lot of unofficial visits and allow football staff's to spend more "quality time" with recruits than a game day would provide.
How is this funny? While it wasn't a shock during this period last year we saw Perry Thompson decommit from Bama and flip to Auburn.

The funny part? Since the summer is redefined Auburn chose to have their "Big Cat Weekend" THIS weekend. "Come to our BCW and watch Auburn in the Final Four!" You want to talk about kids getting a first hand view of bi-polar nature of their fan base.
