🏈 LSU Players and a bar fight

As I said in the Animosity thread, Perrilloux has been in some sort of trouble ever since he got to Baton Rouge, maybe before.

If he's suspended for our game (which I doubt), I'm not sure how much they'll miss him. Matt Flynn is a good QB and very intelligent. He's had his bad moments, but when he's hot, he's hot.

Personally I hope Perrilloux isn't suspended for the BAMA game if Miles is going to use him like he did in the barn game.

Heres a better question will the NZAA jump on them like Bama? WIll they have the nuts to remove them from the team. As Bama did when we removed (5) total 2 starters from out Oline? I doubt LSU has that kinda of guts!

To be fair, when it comes to different discipline issues Miles hasn't been one that was afraid to pull the trigger on suspensions.

It's been mentioned in this thread already...and I'll have to add, I don't get the NCAA reference either.

I don't think it will matter too much if they are suspendend or not, but what did stick out to me in that article was:
...LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey was there and that Dorsey did not throw a single punch. Instead, he tried to break up the fight and get his teammates to leave.
I have to applaud this guy because he is what is right with the student athlete. He may have not succeeded in getting his teammate out of this conflict but it is really hard to babysit all of them if they constantly get in trouble.

I was referring to the book sales at the capstone. Just trying to make a joke, but I should've been more clear.

Some people seem to think it's a big deal. I don't know all the details on the whole book sales. So I just thought since the NZAA loves to hammer us anytime they can we'll see what happens. Given the facts about the bar fight which again I'll stress we don't know. Although I would think threating someones life (if it's true) would require a player to be removed?

The people that think it's a big deal are being fueled by different remarks they've seen on the 'net combined with pure guesses by the media.

One reporter that moved a bit down my respect chain was Christopher Walsh of the T-town news. Saturday evening after the UT game he made a comparison to the Ball State case when talking about ours. He had nothing, zilch, to lead him to that opinion other than dramatics. At least, that's the way I see it.

Some have said the players were selling the books. The last time I even thought about this and did some research around UA about it I was told that wasn't the case. They took improper receipt of books, yes. But, by all appearances that receipt had to do with a couple of different scenarios all resulting in their friends getting the books b/c they hadn't been able to afford them.

Inappropriate, yes. However, I had to agree with CNS on the point there should be a checks and balances type system in place that would notify different departments that these players needed to turn their books back in. I thought early on it was a breakdown falling in a few areas. But, it was one that Jon Dever's office should have been aware of, not to mention on top off.
