🏈 Latest jameis winston caper?

I actually heard about this on Finebaum. The Rabb kid that plays for UAB and Winston were HS teammates at Hueytown. I'm not sure if it is really believable, considering he only bet on the first half and not on the entire game. I'm not a gambler, so I don't really know.

How I feel about Shameis:

Betting on only the first half is why it would be believable. F$U didn't cover in the first half. They did cover for the entire game.

To me this one is a real reach. There is plenty that he has done which is thoroughly documented. For now I am leaving this one in the rumor/gossip category.

I have to agree. This one doesn't really show any basis other than speculation and the speculation is a real reach indeed. Winston has done more than enough to make me glad we didn't get him. This just seems a bit much.

We touched on this in this thread:

It was my contention if Vegas is talking about it there may be something here. (See thread above)

We've talked about TMZ being spot on with their stories due to their research.

We talked about UAB investigating would be another clue.

And then this as well...

A lot of this could be written off as a series of coincidental events, except for the fact that we just received confirmation of a Western Union transaction processed and paid out to a person named “Jameis Winston” directly before kickoff time against Louisville in the amount of $1,900. We here at DYST don’t want to make any accusations, but the facts remain the facts. Jameis Winston’s former high school teammate and current best friend (Chris Rabb) made his biggest bet ever ($5,500) on a game where Jameis played the worst half of his college career.

If I was running a Sportsbook in Las Vegas, I would not have first half bets on F$U on my board. They have covered a first half but once all year. Against Syracuse. They have not even led at the half in four of their eight games. FWIW they have covered the spread on the entire game only twice. Against Wake and Louisville.
