| FTBL Last time ranked number 1?

I'm guessing January 1993. Anybody know? I think that is the best time to be ranked number one! :wink:

yep...1993 was it. We have been ranked as high as number 3 several times early in seasons only to drop down. But never have been number one, or number TWO i might add, since January 1993.

At least we've got the number two part now...that ended the 15 year drought of never being ranked that high...now let's just keep winning and get to Number 1.

Yes, the National Championship following the 1992 season.

But, as humbling as it is, the last time UA played a game as the #1 ranked team was in 1980 - 28 years ago (that needs to change FAST). The 6-3 loss to Miss State in Jackson, MS (or I think that was the score). Loss ended a 28-game UA win streak.
