🏀 Last Second Three-Pointer Lifts Men's Basketball Over Ole Miss, 67-64

Out rebounded Ole Miss 42 to like 34. Cooper and Jacobs had 18 combined. Obasahan, while he didn't score, was a beast on defense.

Still though, while this was a good win, the team shot 3-17 from the perimeter. One of them being the buzzer beater from Releford.

So, a typical Bama game then, right? I only watched the first half. Hale was playing lights out.

I was thinking about the big three Grant landed three years ago. Trevor Lacey has since moved on, Rodney Cooper is playing excitingly average in a reserve role, and Levi Randolph is afraid to shoot from outside. These three were so highly lauded coming out of high school and now...

Levi is only good for his 12-foot jump shot. He has good ball handling skills, but outside of that, he's streaky.

I guess so, with the exception of a win. We can sit here and point at the negatives all day, we know what the problem is. But the fact of the matter is, we're not that good of a team, so when we get an upset like this (even though we were favored by 3.5 by Vegas), its good for the team and program. We'll be playing spoilers throughout the year now.

This is also no shot at you or anyone else, I do this all the time. Just think we should all look at the positives sometimes.

Ole Miss is the worst rebounding team in the league I believe, so it's no surprise. If Bama can play teams weak on the boards they have great success. Pretty cool to see them not fold up like a cheap table when they went down by four with a few minutes remaining in the game. Normally they'd drop faster than a prom dress.

No shot taken, raider. In fact, I meant to point out the win as...well, quite a big difference. Positives, you're right. Hale and Taylor are two very good freshmen. If Justin Coleman can shoot from the outside as well as he can in high school, they'll all three be a good foundation for next year.
