🏈 Kirk Herbstreit's opinion on title game

Kirk just now on sportscenter was talking about what happens if Texas Tech loses to Oklahoma. He said I don't know which of those 3 teams (Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas Tech) is going to play Florida once they beat Alabama!!!

I heard him too...I usually like him... I mean, Florida may very well beat us...but this guy acts as if everyone on Florida's team is all-world, and could never lose a game.

Just take a deep breath and chill out for a minute. After Florida beats South Carolina 17-10 next week because they finally have to play a team with a decent defense, all this "When Florida beats Alabama" stuff will go away.

I agree and understand his comments. We are undefeated but to the rest of the world UF is playing better football than we are. Just be happy he (ESPN) is high on a one loss SEC team being the best team to go to the NC game. Seems as if only Brent Musburger is giving USC the love. We keep winning and what he said means nothing. I like BAMA as an underdog.

Your right dude. I lost my head for a second. I really really need my WWSD wrist band. I am with Saban fully on the one game at a time aspect. I did I looked at depth charts and stats of Miss. St. and matchups across the O and D lines and as always the height and weights of the CB's. But Sportscenter was on tv and it just caught my ear.

We have to play to our capacity and improve every week in order to be a succesful team. Soud familiar Sorry Nick I did what you told me not to do all year.

I've said it before, kinda reminds me of another cocky Florida team that we beat back in 1992. All we can do is show up and do the best we can.

I like Kirk also, but don't forget he is just an ESPN talking head. I kinda like all of them thinking Florida is gonna beat us, let them pump up Florida and maybe they will become complacent. We have been the dog all year in big games (except for LSU) so why change it now?

I like Herbie, he's a straight shooter. His perception of Florida being the best team in the country is probably correct because they HAVE been playing lights out the last month. However, they DO have to play us, and I think that we'll smash 'em in the mouth early in the SECCG and win fairly easily.

All this talk sounds much like the talk in '99 before the SECCG. Saban's a little better coach than Dubose ever was. :wink:
