Itās really sad when you see the statistics on the number of players who enter the portal but never find another program willing to offer them a scholarship. Kingās probably good enough to be one of the lucky ones but thereās no guarantee. I so hope players will become wiser sooner rather than later as the numbers just keep going in the wrong direction.
OK so you have until JULY 1 to get into the portal but you can make your selection of your new school (agreed by your new college) and be ready to play this year.
Perhaps we will have another Tide football player and basketball player to move on today/night
OLB has been recruited by Alabama at such an absurdly high level, King Mwikuta and Kevin Harris before him were just lost in the shuffle of elite athletes that are unicorns.
Those 2 will find success somewhere else. Not everyone can be a 1st round NFL talent
Hate seeing this as always. I had high expectations from him, but our recruiting at his position just went insanely well lately. Hoping the freshmen from last year hang in there like Kennedy and Sanders.
I hate it, too. We may be one or two more from compliant, honestly I'm not a roster watcher, but losing the prima donna everyone's chasing means Saban doesn't have to have a difficult conversation with at least one more player who committed their education, health and development to us.
There's talk that he is looking for a specific situation, and if it doesn't work out, the door is open for him to stay at Bama. But the deadline to enter the portal is tomorrow, so he had to get in there instead of waiting around.
With the belief and the obvious evidence of how well even the smallest details are handled in the UA football program you have to believe that any player entering the portal, especially at this time, has received extensive counseling, advice etc before doing so

Exactly what I'm hearing. If this was a recruiting thread I'd post, "it's only July." We've no idea how this plays out other than the last chapter hasn't been written.
I recall CNS talking about King after one of the fall scrimmages his first year. Coach said that he played with a high motor and was 1000 mph but not always going in the direction. I wish him nothing but the best. Hopefully, he finds the place best for him or he finds his niche at some spot here.

Why the thumbs down 81? What did I say that wasnāt factual? Or do you disagree with it being sad? Or do you take issue with the fact so many players who enter the portal effectively end their careers? I donāt mind the thumbs down even though itās the first one Iāve seen on this site ⦠though I am relatively new here. I just like to know why you gave my comment the poor grade?
