📝 Transfer Portal Tracker

You need 4 just to conduct practice. I was one of 8 at Livingston in 1968 for the start of drills. Then again we had 130 players run the mile the 1st day. Long long ago.

If nothing else, they'll have the walk on QB's for numbers, but yeah I'll be really surprised if they don't grab a guy who has some game experience but is also willing to accept a backup role.

I've been seeing this in the news and I am wondering: isn't it still illegal to tamper with a kid who's not in the portal yet? How are these teams getting away with blatantly recruiting other team's rosters? And why won't DeBoer do the same thing? If the rules are suspended and there is no honor or loyalty in college football, then Bama should be recruiting these rosters to get their best players. This is ridiculous.

Who really cares? This NIL thing is a complete mess

Its certainly a dynasty killer. Cant stock good players.

Still...the one thing they could do...is go back to the "sit for a year" if transferring
Sure stop a lot of it
I agree, that would help. I doubt they do it though. Hopefully the players won’t organize a union of sorts. They already have most of the power, that would give them all the power and leverage against rules like “sit for a year.”

The real solution is a salary cap. NCAA football is officially the minor league for the NFL. Contracts and caps should be structured as such.
That’s the best idea in “theory”. The issue is that almost all of this money is being gifted by individuals not the schools. It’d be like trying to put a salary cap on the endorsements nfl, nba, mlb players get. It’s broken and it’ll never get fixed properly I’m afraid.

It can be fixed. But nobody but saban wants to stand up and say it...

The Aesop fable. Goose that laid the golden egg comes to-mine.

If they could prevent payments before NIL, they can limit payments after. All it needs is structure and enforcement (penalties for violation).
