🏈 Just noticed the Next to the Last play in the CFB NC game

With all the glorious rewatching of the 2nd and 26 play, I had really missed the play that set that up. Leaterwood missed 2 blocks that allowed the sack. With all the talk about how great he did (and he did some good things) the 1st and 10 play he whiffed on his guy and then when Ross's guy blew to the outside (Leatherwoods guy was gone inside by now) he whiffed on him too. They both converged on Tua and took him down. No point here I guess, just pointing it out

Tua throws the screen to Harris....he probably would have scored....his cover rushed and LB stepped back...harris had plenty of room to get started...
LB on DH...would have been interesting...but what the hell..wprked out perfectly

This is from the missed FG thru overtime..but if you FF to 4:40 mark. the screen seemed to have been a fake or Bellamy blew it up? anyway those two ripped thru and down goes Tua... down goes Tua (#70 didnt look good) But a True Freshman getting it handed to him by those guys... to be expected when the game is on the line he rode his man past Tua the next play

Yeah, tough to call him out on that one. Harris would have had twenty yards of daylight, and I saw that over the missed block the hundred times I have watched the sequence since the game. Talking two veteran guys and a guy that played, what, 20-30 snaps all season in mop up duty? I'm willing to look past that, especially since he got a chip on each and claim him the next big deal for Alabama linemen.

You dont have to fast forward, just hit play. I time stamped it on the start of that play.

I always thought that Tua was faking the screen to Harris and looking to get it to WR Smith breaking down the sideline. You notice that Smith started to block and then went deep. Tua gave a pump fake at Harris and then looked right at Smith. The play was covered and Tua should have thrown the ball away.

May be right....but things worked out.....except one thing.....probably took many years off Sabans life...( and some off mine)....and gave AU fans one joyful moment..( only to be crushed seconds later)...
