Is far and away the best receiver I've seen in my lifetime at UA! Palmer was spectatular but not the dominate force Julio is already........The first man hasn't tackled him yet!! This guy has WAYYYYYY exceeded my expectations! He is a legit STUD!!!

You can't take him down with just one man. One more thing I want him to break that freshman record.

I have to agree......some of the old timers may disagree, but I've never see a more dominate WR in Crimson than Julio.

What made it even better was the announcers had just been talking negative about him late in the game - said the pressure and being a freshman had gotten to him.

Well if this is the way it "gets" to him then I'm loving it.

I told several rival fans that when we got Julio he was going to be worth at least a win or two. Glad I ended up being right. :)

Julio is good and will likely be great at some point, but I'm not ready to elevate him to Palmer status just yet. Now if he wants to take a snap or two and run the option, then maybe...

lmao yea i think the quote was "hes snagging all those balls in September and October but now in November he's missing them" or some crap like that. then he comes back and makes that huge play in OT.

He will be better than Palmer if he has a QB that can give him the ball and if he can avoid serious injury.

If those things happen then Julio will go on have a pro career. I am not sure which Julio you might be watching, and I REALLY respect David Palmer, but Julio is a different type of athlete from what I can tell.

You are correct, they are two completely different players. Both very, very good at what they did/do and almost impossible to compare. I'm not taking anything away from Julio. It's just that Palmer, in addition to being a threat as a receiver, could also run the sweep as well as anyone in his day.

He is a machine. :D

He had a nice clutch reception in OT, but he had 3 (I think) very catchable drops in regulation. Hope this was the one game he showed his age in.

I will say this I watched him at High School LOVED IT. He has been my favorite WR by far. With that said comparing him to the deuce I dont know about that. I only wish he had prothro speed. He sure has the get the hell off of me mentality.

A couple of things I will say about Julio...

He knows how to throw a block downfield and I have never seen him show out and bring attention to himself. You can't ask for a better teammate than that.

He also gets good yardage after initial contact. Kid is a beast.

Freddie Milons had the potential to be great, but Julio has more than potential. Nevertheless, Julio still has several more games to play before he dethrowns Ozzie Newsome as Bama's best receiver.

...or was Newsome a TE? ;scr

The kid's got skills! I love the fact that AFTER he makes an amazing catch he then throws the most awesome stiff arms to move the defender!

I'll never get tired of watching that kid do his thing! :D

I think we've had alot of great WRs over the years, we just didn't have the QB or offense to get them the ball.

EX: Toderick Malone, Curtis Brown, Kevin Lee, Prince Wembley, Michael Vaughn...etc. I could name 10 more...

It's hard to know how good those guys really were.

Julio is AMAZING, but he's also designed for our attack. His size and body control is very impressive. He also has a great knack for getting 5-10 yards+ after the catch.
