JoePa, or as those even closer to you know you as, PapaJoe, please retire.

You are about one month short of being 82 years old.

You are almost 20 years past retirement age.

You have had your hips and knees knocked all out of whack by a player that hit you on the sidelines.

You have had a good year and it just didn't work out.

Go out on a high note.

Go out a winner with a winning record and as one of the most distinguished men to ever coach college football.

I'd agree with this after the season.

His press conference last night was telling...seemed to be struggling to catch his breath, almost wheezing, and really made me think.

Yeah, there certainly would be no shame involved.

He jokes around the same way that Coach Bryant did by saying he would die if he quit.

Coach Bryant was already in bad health and that is really the reason he quit, not so with Paterno.

He will not die, he may be sad, but won't die.

;w;w and one of the most telling things to me is how he can't even walk. At what point is it time to pack it in?

If he isn't ready to retire mentally, then his physical health would probably go down even faster after retirement. The whole "coaching to live" isn't as far fetched as it sounds.
