UA All-America Game: Where's five-star Ross most comfortable?

Justyn Ross
has taken the recruiting process slow. He has almost committed on a couple of different occasions, but over the last four or five months, he has really slowed things down, taken one official visit, visited a few schools unofficially and he is now ready to turn things up a notch.
"I have to get ready now," Ross said about the month of January leading up to his decision on Signing Day, February 7.
The 6-foot-4, 195 pound wide receiver out of Phenix City (Ala.) Central loves basketball, so around his hoops schedule, he will take official visits to Alabama and Auburn, host head coaches in his home and ultimately make a decision next month.
There has been chatter for a few months now that Clemson, an out-of-state school leads, so what does Ross say to that?
"Some days I have a thought of a favorite school in my head, but it is just not consistent for me yet. I can't say if that is Clemson or another school, but I have had that thought at times.
"I am pretty much down to Clemson, Alabama and Auburn, so it has been one of those. It is still really close between those three schools for me right now."
The only official visit Ross has taken to date is to Clemson. He took that in November. He visited Clemson for multiple games in the fall.
The feeling he has when there is big because that will play a role in his decision.
"I am going to a school where I feel at home and I have that home feeling at Clemson," said Ross. "They have done an excellent job of building a relationship with me and they have built a bond with my family too.
"They have talked to me about being their next big receiver and all that, but how they have shown me more about how it is like a family there is something I really like about them."

It sounds like very high marks for Clemson, but is there another school that gives him a better feeling than that? Ross did not use the "home feeling" with Alabama, but comfort level appears to be highest in Tuscaloosa.
"I would say I am most comfortable at Alabama because of all of the times I have been there to be around their coaches. I have been there a lot, so I know a lot about the school, I know a lot about the coaches and I am very comfortable there."
There has been some talk about Alabama behind the scenes and how you cannot sleep on Nick Saban's program with the top in-state prospect. Alabama's pitch is about need as much as anything with Ross.
"Alabama keeps telling me they need me to be their big receiver threat for them," said Ross. "They want me to be the down the field guy for them, so that it what they keep saying to me.
"They don't think they have a receiver with my size, so they point that out and they say I can bring something different there. I know I would have to go in there to work just like anywhere else, but they don't think there is a receiver like me on their team."
Auburn is going at Ross the same way.
"Auburn and Alabama are very similar in how they are recruiting me. Auburn is short in their depth at receiver, so playing time is a big thing for them when they talk to me. They want explosive players and they think I can help them.
"They think I could play early there and be that guy who makes plays down the field. I have a good feeling about what them and Alabama are saying just like I do Clemson."
Being from Alabama, Ross has a lot of Tide and Tiger fans around him. Many wish they could influence this young man's decision to choose their school, but he is not hearing the outside noise and it will come down to where he and his family feel is best for him.
"There is some pressure to stay in state and go to an in-state school, but I do not let it effect me. I do not pay attention to it and I just have to make the best decision to me. There is pressure out there, but I just don't hear it.
"Me and my parents have to be comfortable with the school. That is what it will come down to. I have to feel at home and very comfortable on that campus.
"I want my parents to have the same feel that I have about the school I pick, so that is something we will work on between now and signing day."
