šŸˆ Jalen's dad suggests "biggest free agent in history." Jalen's brother refers to stories as "click bait." What's next for Hurts?

The 2017 AU game was bad but the 2016 AU was just as bade in the passing game. If you recall he threw two of the worst picks that has ever been thrown in that stadium. Truth is Jalen has had major success because of his running ability as a QB. Teams had to work hard to contend with his feet as well as passing. Once those teams learned that he has limits to what he can do in the passing scheme then they schemed to stop the running game and make him have to throw. It WILL ALWAYS come to what you don't do well that the defense will make you have to do well since they will take away what you do well. Bama plays offense one handed with Jalen at QB when they play really really good football teams. I hate this all came about the week of A-Day. Daddy could have had his say next week after the game.

Yes, Daddy could have and that is the gut punch here. So why, what's the motive when nothing has played out and even your competition is sidelined with an injury? The only thing that has come to mind so far is that they want to push the issue and the Hurt's family wants coach Saban to make his decision sooner rather than later.

Something that struck me in Coach Saban's conference was a comment that may be foretelling. Paraphrasing, "At the end of the day, everyone has career decisions that they will have to make."

Could it be possible that Jalen's dad didn't like what he heard in that conversation and when questioned by BR, he spouted off as an angry parent?

No, because the article was published before the press conference. CNS was responding to the article. As more information comes out, I'm leaning to the click bait side. If you want something read and talked about, make it controversial.

But Saban said that he had spoken with Jalen's dad after the 2nd scrimmage. BR could've called him on Sunday or Monday and then put the article out.

Heard it and thought the same thing. Also, I took it as him letting people know that the program is bigger than one guy or that guy’s family.

Thirdly, I just can’t see how this is going to be a competition come fall. Without continuing injury issues for Tua it might be a 2 QB system for a bit but otherwise...

Only Nick and Jalen's father know the details of their conversation thus we get to speculate. If #2 and his family are going to be a distraction like Blake and his family were after the USC game then I hope the Hurts family will elect to transfer after this school term. That would put Bama in a difficult depth situation at QB (Like FSU this past season) but perhaps that will be better than having the distraction of a QB controversy.

Side note, I haven't been able to view embedded tweets lately.
I have not been getting twitter feeds either, for about a week now.
Deleted tweets make sense..
If the tweet is deleted on Twitter it'll show up here as "loading" forever. Nothing to load, ya know?

That said, there are a few updates on some of the media embeddable sites that needs to be done...we'll get it in the next 24 hours.

Has the site been infected now?

I'm getting HELLA mail warehouse activity on here now.

I've no idea what you're talking about. No changes from me since Turkisk conversation.

But...Jalan is a Nick Saban style QB.....
Dont make mistakes..or put the D in a bad situation....
Sorry..thats the truth....Jalan starts next year...Tua gets snaps and subs...
Tua made plenty of bad plays in NC game.....D bailed him out....ad gave Bama a chance...on the play he lost 17 yards ( in OT) ...go back and lookhad he tossed the ball in the left flats to Harris..... would have been a hugh gain if not a TD...
He made some really nice plays for sure...but.....

If you keep having to punt and put your defense out there for 99 plays that technically could be referred to as putting your defense in a bad position. In all fairness, had we not scored the ball against Georgia and given our defense some hope in the 3rd quarter we were going to lose that game big time. It's about getting off the field and it's also about morale. Both were needed by the defense in that game.

Tua needs reps in live action and more experience. But to watch him throw darts and process the field in a nanosecond makes me believe this one has the "it" factor.

And to YOUR point.....the AU game...i really believe JH has regressed in passing....
He can do it....i just worry if they have beat the...."dont make a mistake " into him...
Going to be a fun year to watch...how the new OC and QB coach work things...
But I believe....it will be ball control...heavy running with these backs n Oline...
And @94 Grad ....fully agree.... as it was with...Barnett..or Bateman.... theirs to lose

Yeah...JH is no AJ for sure.....and he has had some poor games....he makes up for it bybeing dynamic......and mostly error free.... saban-style QB.... all am saying...
Teams that turn the ball over....a lot...
Are rarely successful ....
Well JH will come out of spring as #1..... from there....we will see...

Lets see we have a choice of a great athlete that was the SEC player of the year and has a record of 26-2 or another great athlete that showed his stuff in the biggest game College Football has to offer. As some have said on this sight before #bamaproblems. It is great to be a bama fan. I lived the bear years and never thought I would see it again but I was wrong. Roll Tide gentlemen!!!!!

Yep.....yep....see how things play out

I mentioned to someone the last recruiting cycle that not getting 5 star Emory Jones would end up being a blessing. These elite recruits are not interested in coexisting through their playing career. I can't blame coach Saban, he saw this coming and the graduate transfer was the perfect answer until he bailed at the last minute.

I'd still be shocked at this point is Jalen doesn't wait it out until he graduates. I do believe Dad when he says Jalen loves Alabama and coach Saban. If he can see the possibilities as far as contributing this season is concerned and wrap his heart around the team concept, this whole thing might surprise everyone.
