šŸˆ GAME THREAD It's Tennessee Hate Week (which happens to be the 3rd Saturday in October.)

Building on this a bit ...

Pro Football Focus provided an interesting insight into Joshua Dobbs’ performance during Tennessee’s 45-38 loss at Texas A&M in Week 6. According to the website, 314 of Dobbs’ career-best 398 passing yards came after the initial catch.

Also, the senior quarterback went 2 of 14 on balls thrown farther than 10 yards.
Missed tackles, anyone?

Yes to missed tackles, but also a way of negating a good pass rush, too.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh................Tennessee week

What can you say about Tennessee that has not already been said? I have seen them play 3 times this year (Virginia Tech, Georgia and A&M). Offensively I just don't see that much talent, Dobbs, Hurd and that 6'4" wide receiver seem to be all they have. Playing in Obnoxiousville is always a challenge but we have so much more talent than they do, even if we play our B game (God forbid) and they play their A game, we should win. Of course, that is why they play the games and all of that......sigh

OK, I'll admit to being shot mentally this morning. You've lost me here.

How are you equating YAC to negating a good pass rush? I'm seeing over 75% of their passing yards coming after the catch. To me, that means defense is missing tackles (or had horrible coverage ... which they did at times, but not that often.)

Tennessee DT Danny O’Brien has addressed his recent dismissal from the team in a statement posted on his Twitter account:
I take full responsibility. I'm grateful for my teammates, coaches, and Vol nation. It has been and honor to help bring this program back.
— Danny O'Brien (@dandiesel13) October 11, 2016
The school announced O’Brien was off the team in a statement Monday:
ā€œDefensive lineman Danny O’Brien has been dismissed from the Tennessee football team for violation of team rules. This news is unrelated to the injury he suffered against Texas A&M. However, should he require any additional care, it will be provided by the University of Tennessee.ā€
O’Brien was carted off the field in a stretcher Saturday at Texas A&M. UT says the dismissal is unrelated to the injury.
He played in 36 games during his Vols career, and had started every game of the 2016 season.

The level of loathing I have for the team Alabama plays this week is not healthy. I readily admit that. Admitting you have a problem is the first step in overcoming that problem. It's not a problem though. I will not overcome it.

I want 70 to 0.... at the half. I want Bitch Jones to cry like the little baby he is... during the game on the sideline. I want the stadium to empty save for all the Tide fans... BEFORE halftime. Put emergency personnel on the Gay Street Bridge to prevent suicides. I want that level of despair and misery, gnashing of teeth, catastrophes of Biblical proportions.

Roll Tide
