Crompton? He must have made a hell of an improvement in the off season. Speaking of the off season...I know it isn't important and I didn't want to make an entirely new thread for a simple question...but when are preseason rankings released?

It's usually around 3-4 weeks before the first game I do believe.

crompton will be decent this year. UT will look more like alabama last year. All they will do is run the ball and only when necessary pass. Brown will return punts and have about 600 yrds rushing the ball but no more. I could see UT upsetting one top SEC team like ole miss

The problem with your theory is that was basically the approach last year.

UT ran just under 60% of the time, more than we did, and look at their offensive production. They barely were ranked in the top 10 in the SEC in rushing and while their offensive line is experienced, you have to ask "experienced in doing what?"

A lot of this season rides on how Crompton is able to handle the offense. When you consider Kodi Burns did better than he did last year it really puts his performance last year in it's own category.
