There were some concerns from some following the UGA, KY, and OM games that the Tide was dropping their level of play (and intensity) in the 2nd half. On one occasion, Saban even mentioned that he thought they played so hard early in games, that it might have been a bit draining on them late the 2nd half. Well, ever since the OM game, Alabama has played 4 games in a row (Tenn, Arky St, LSU, and MSU) where they have come back out in the 3rd quarter and taken over the game. BAMA didn't have the positive results in the LSU game that they had in the other 3, but if you look, you'll see that they really clamped down on LSU's rushing attack, while getting their own rushing game going. Physically, they took over that game, it just didn't show up on the scoreboard like these other weeks. I think it is safe to say though that whatever issues the team had earlier, Saban got them figured out. For the last month, this team has been tough to move the ball on in the 2nd half, and on offense, the OL has taken over the games late.

AGREED 100%

opposing defenses have looked tired the last few weeks.. their eyes a little unfocused, and their hands on their knees.. these are symptoms of a second half beatdown..

someone should compile some second half stats for the last for weeks if there is a way to get them...

i think we are 3 times the team that beat georgia.

However, it seems we may have trade our fast starts in the 1st and 2nd Qtr for more intensity and produciton in the 2nd half. Can we keep both? :D

I know! :)

I loved the adjustments at half on D though.

In the bigger picture, we've been improving each game as the season goes on. That was the main thing I wanted to see from the team this season, and we've been given that plus a lot more.

Boy thats one reputation that I'm glad we're getting away from. Between the sports anouncers and other fans it was brought up every game. A reputaion like that can become a self-fulling prophecy after a while.
