Before we go dropping Hart and Fowler in the depth chart, I think we first need to see WILL they be able to come back from their injuries. For Dee, it is a 2nd injury to the same knee and Jalston had SIGNIFICANT damage to his knee. I want them to return as much as the next person but you never know. As for impact guys, alot will ride on how quick these guys can pick up the system. No doubt these kids are coming in physically more ready but talent won't get them on the field. Some of the biggest impacts will probably be seen on the kick cover teams where there simply isn't too much to learn; block if needed, stay in your lane, DESTROY the guy with the ball!!

I think the guys that will have the most impact are the ones that came in early because they'll have more time within the system.

As of Hart and Fowler I think Fowler will be fine, but Hart I am not too sure about because two injuries to the same knee is significant and if you think about the type of injury then that makes even more unlikely that he will come back to full potential

To sort of reiterate what Saban said, there is no wait your turn or seniority. There is competition and that's it. He will go with who he feels is ready and helps the team the most. I agree those that enrolled early will have an advantage over the new guys. That being said I can't freaking wait until A-Day. The spring and fall camp battles should be good at several key positions where we have multiple talent competing against each other.

I hope Fowler makes it as I loved seeing him work and I'm anxious to see how it looks after rehab on the leg. I'm not sure about Hart. He has a ton of competition that rolled in so he very well could get passed if the newer guys can bring more to the table.

One thing we aren't talking about is there will be a new oline coach learning the players and everything. We replaced a ton of talent on the line so the new coach will have a lot of work ahead of him in a relatively ahort time to do it. So that will affect the RBs to some degree.

Yep you guys bring up some good points, but the one I am really excited about is Howard. Man does he have an upside or what! I think he makes a huge statement this year and cements a "starter" roll ASAP. What say you.

My worry about him was that at the All America game he really struggled getting separation from other elite Linebackers, def. gonna have to work on that.

I too am a bit worried about Howard's lack of being able to get separation against the elite linebackers, but I think our staff will coach that more.

This is true, we definitely have never had a TE that as talented as a receiver as Howard so maybe they can coach him up.
