I've never seen either 'live' (as in the night it was taped.) The only thing I've seen were clips and those weren't from CBS or ABC nor either show.

Jimmy Kimmel got his start with Ben Stein, Win Ben Stein's Money. I liked him. Ben Stein is his own entity, but Kimmel was great on that show. When he started his late night show, I never was a consistent viewer, but sometimes I caught his monologues. Then when Trump ran in '16, Kimmel shifted into political gear, and when every. single. ****************************************. monologue was the same schtik, some vitrolic rant about Trump, he quit being funny. Then only exception was if he had Don Rickles on the show. I haven't watched him in years.

The only show I really loved was when Kimmel hosted Van Halen. Damn! What a show!

It's a wild career seeing how he's handled Hollywood. From his black face with The Man Show to what you've mentioned. Evolution.

I've never found Jimmy Kimmel funny. Like...ever.

I stopped watching late night shows when Leno retired. Me and my dad used to watch it (just like we used to watch M*A*S*H together; it was his favorite show) and talk about it. He passed away in 2010, and I kept watching it. When Leno retired, I stopped watching late night shows except for a couple episodes of Conan here and there. But Leno was the last one I watched every night after the news.
