šŸ’¬ In light of the recent tragedies ... Comfortable w/ SEC athletes protesting/demonstrating like seen?

 Everytime a conservative points out that "MLK was a Republican" it makes me literally laugh out loud. And the funny thing is, with you, I dont know if you honestly thing "yeah see he would be with us!" or if you are just doing your Fox News impression. MLK would not be a Republican in 2016 and if you think he would ever want to be associated with a party that supports a piece of elephant feces like Donald Trump you are insane. Look up the "southern strategy" and realize how dumb you are to claim MLK would be a Republican. The parties completely switched during the "southern strategy" and it was purposely done.

He would be a democrat? Full throated support for abortion/murder, genderless restrooms, gay marriage, etc. I think he would be disgusted by our government in general but a hard core democrat...somehow I doubt it.

You really need to read and research. EITC phases out at different levels based on whether you are single/joint and how many kids you have. $15M is the limit if you have no children, but it goes as high as $53M if you file joint and have three kids. The maximum isn't "no more than a few hundred dollars". It maxes at $6,269. I have relatives who get five thousand or more in EITC, plue everything that's been deducted in PIT. They get it all in tax season and blow the hell out of it. It's bad policy.

2016 EITC Income Limits, Maximum Credit Amounts and Tax Law Updates

In terms of tax liability, a good number of deductions have been phased out for higher earners over the years. If you remain motivated and as you approach your peak earning years, I hope you're successful enough to find out that many of the tax credits and deductions for many things, including college, phase out pretty quickly.

RTR,

Tim

I was going by my own experience, when I first graduated high school I think I made like 6,000 that first year (because it wasnt a full year) and I got like $400. The next year 15,000 my first full year (wasnt even in college at the time) and earned income tax credit was like $35 I think. Haven't gotten a dime since. I know my brother in law has two kids and his girlfriend/live-in/whatever doesn't work and they get nearly 10k back but I didnt think that was EITC. I always thought that was something seperate. I can understand ppl getting back some money when they have kids but if you are getting like two times more than you paid in that doesnt seem right at all to me..

Yeah I know some of the deductions have been phased out for higher earners, thats why I said that tax bracket has gone up some (as it should). I'm not totally opposed to a flat tax rate for everyone but if we were to go that route a) we have to make sure there aren't these massive deductions that ends up giving ppl like Mitt Romney the ability to actually pay in 16% or some wild shit like that and b) tax the shit outta all these rich ppl/companies that are putting all of their money into off shore accounts (maybe give up a small incentive to bring it over or something IDK).

He didn't speak much about gay marriage but he did say he didn't think it was natural. Regardless neither have us have a clue what he would say about those things in 2016 but you guys are weird as fuck with this abortion stuff. I dont personally agree with abortion (unless in the case of incest/rape) and if my wife were to get pregnant (god forbid lol) I wouldnt want an abortion. I also am not about to tell someone else I dont think they should get one, that is their choice and it is not murder. Stop it.

But I never said MLK would be a democrat, I highly doubt he would be. He would be independent as hell at this point and would be telling both sides they are full of shit. I was merely pointing out that the Republican party is NOTHING now like it looked in MLK's day. Conservatives in 2016 would call Reagan a hippy liberal at this point lmao He would be considered a tax raising, abortion supporting, massive debt adding, immigrant amnesty giving, gun control wanting hippy in the 2016 pyschos eyes.

I never alleged he should be a Pub at all.

I was simply pointing out his statement about the black community fixing its problems and stop blaming the white man. 55 years ago.

And the "Docta Kang" that they all champion, is still ultimately ignored today.

I consider myself a small L libertarian and on almost all social issues, except abortion, I believe in personal choice as long as it doesn't cause true harm (not hurting feelings) to another. I believe abortion is murder and that life begins at conception, period. You won't convince me otherwise and vice versa I'm sure. As far as my stance on the federal government and those running it on both sides...see my signature line. On Reagan, probably need to do a little more research. He was never pro-choice (please don't site the bill he signed while governor of California because it was signed on certain restrictions and he later admitted it was wrong and he regretted it) and he never backed anything that remotely resembled what today's liberals are trying to ram through with regard to gun control. He believed assault weapons (i.e. machine guns and fully automatic firearms) should be controlled but any sporting weapons and/or home/personal defense firearms should never be denied. The other issues? Yeah, in my opinion he got off the conservative track a little. And by the way, not every person that supports a candidate you don't like or is in another political party is a pyscho.

This. Every bit of it.

I wish there was a "love" button for posts.

He was pro choice before he ran for president, period. Obama has said AFTER 2008 that he now he supports gay marriage (when he didnt before) and has "evolved" on the issue but we both know that is bullshit too. They support shit when they think it will get them support or election and they go against it when they that will get them support. And the gun control thing is flat out bullshit. He believed assault weapons should be banned but nothing else unlike the laws liberals are trying to "ram" through... even tho the only things they have even attempted to get passed was *shock* an assault weapons ban and tighter background checks. No one is attempting to take away pistols or hunting rifles yet you just implied they are...

And I dont think everyone that disagrees with me is a psycho or even everyone that is a Republican, I think people that support people like Donald Trump, Michelle Bachman, Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, etc. have got to be a little touched in the head at the very least tho...

So pretty much anyone who isn't a lib is "touched in the head".

Got it.

How much should someone in, say, the top 20 percent pay in Federal income taxes? Let's say someone makes $120,000 a year, sole breadwinner, a kid in high school and another in college. That puts them in the top 20 percent of all household incomes in the United States as of 2014. That top 20 percent also pays 84 percent of all personal income taxes. What's a "fair" income tax bill? Should they pay $20,000 in income taxes (I'm not including property taxes, State income tax, social security tax, medicare and like)? $30,000? You said "as it should". What's right in your mind?

We both know the word he was looking for when he said that bullshit wasnt actually "blacks"... That was him being "PC" in his mind...

Nope, you're such a fukking fool.

I'm not about to waste my breath or time calling them African Americans. 99.8% if them weren't born in Africa. Nor were their parents. Or their grandparents. Or even their great grandparents.

They were born in AMERICA.

How am I racist by calling them them the plural of what they are? Isn't there a BLACK history month? Isn't there a BLACK entertainment television? Who coined those names? A BLACK person. No different than me calling a red car red, a blue truck blue, or your Lily-white ass white.

You're a fukking squishy-faced retard. Fukking idiotic liberal.

And a fukking hypocrite.

The funny thing is you don't even see the issue with what you just said.

Safe to say, President Johnson's attempt at providing people at "hand up, not a handout" hasn't worked as intended some 50 years later. People need to be self sufficient and shouldn't allowed to be on government handouts for unlimited time frames. I do believe that we should be taking care of our citizens in need, but we need to limit the commitment and require them to be taxpayers like the rest of us.

The funny thing is you don't even see the issue with what you just said.

Why? If you have a yellow lab dog and a black lab dog, what's the distinguishing identifier of each breed? Neither breed is superior to the other. Why differentiate between black ink, blue ink, and red ink? Their color identifies them, dude.

Just because I distinguish different HUMAN BEINGS by their color doesn't make me a racist.

MLK referred to each race as black/white.

Sorry for rustling.

25%, thats why I said I would be good with a flat tax rate. Him paying 25% at 120k a year doesnt hurt him as bad as me at 36k paying 25% but we are both paying our fair share. The problem is that the people that are super rich (not the ppl that make 120k, we're talking about the 1% here) are the ones that can avoid paying taxes with certain crazy ass tax breaks. And the excuse is well if Im only actually getting by paying 18% (like Mitt Romney) thats okay because 18% of my five million dollars a year is alot more than your 39% at 100,000. Thats not right. Im not one of these people that thinks someone that is making 3 million every year needs to be paying 60% of their income to taxes, I dont believe that. I dont believe that is fair either.

My party, huh?

Not once did I ever say I was a Pub.

But I will say this: the only reason "half the republican party" you referenced does, is because they're part of the establishment, in bed with the dems anyway.

lmao we all know you support, stop pretending.

Nope, you're such a fukking fool.

lmao its not about you calling them black people. The fact that you miss what the point was entirely is hilarious. "The blacks" is the way that dumbasses like you used to refer to black people to make sure they didnt put "people" in there (funny you keep saying HUMAN)... but even more so you also referred to "the vast majority of blacks" as "fucking thugs".... so we all know what word you wanted to say...

Almost 60% of welfare goes to people or families that have at least one job... Poor people aren't the one sucking the well dry from welfare, its corporations like Wal Mart. Wal Mart employees are BY FAR the biggest recipients of welfare because wal mart makes sure that only a handful of their employees even get a full time schedule. There are some stores that have even held "food drives" for their employees during Thanksgiving. That is freaking pathetic for a multi billion dollar corporation and why I shop at Publix and our local super market as much as possible.
