Bright House customers, it looks as if you neednāt worry about losing ESPN.
Time Warner Cable, which is negotiating for Bright House Networks, and Walt Disney Co., owner of ESPN, said today they have made āsignificant progressā in talks about cable fees.
In statements on their websites, the companies said, āWe are now focusing all our attention on a successful conclusion of these efforts prior to the September 2 deadline.ā
On its website, Time Warner told customers that it expects service āto remain uninterruptedā and added, āThere should be no reason to consider switching.ā
Another hopeful sign, reported by The Wall Street Journalās website: Both Disney and Time Warner have pulled marketing campaigns to sway public opinion in their favor.
