Bright House customers, it looks as if you needn’t worry about losing ESPN.

Time Warner Cable, which is negotiating for Bright House Networks, and Walt Disney Co., owner of ESPN, said today they have made ā€œsignificant progressā€ in talks about cable fees.

In statements on their websites, the companies said, ā€œWe are now focusing all our attention on a successful conclusion of these efforts prior to the September 2 deadline.ā€

On its website, Time Warner told customers that it expects service ā€œto remain uninterruptedā€ and added, ā€œThere should be no reason to consider switching.ā€

Another hopeful sign, reported by The Wall Street Journal’s website: Both Disney and Time Warner have pulled marketing campaigns to sway public opinion in their favor.

Thanks man. That makes me feel a lot better. While I could go to the bar down the street to watch any of the games there is nothing like getting up on saturday and watching game day and having beer earlier then you should.
