šŸ€ 'Impressive' Alabama creating offseason buzz

This is a stubborn and short-sighted view. It reads as you being so determined to believe there was something amiss you'll do anything to either make someone believe you're right, or convince yourself you're right.

Take Simon and Davis. Why on earth would any Bama fan want Simon's story to be broadcast all of the interwebs? Why would any coach want his lack of discretion getting any more play than it did?

He didn't. He won't. And that should be very easy to understand.

And yet each time you keep talking about my specific view of that situation. My original comment only eluded to the controversy. My original statement had much more to do with the program getting better and that I was glad it was behind us. YOU felt the need to get it clarified.

Now, it's just plain talk to me, and what fans happen to agree with or not, matters little. Some of us in our fandom can speak our minds on most anything Crimson, while others take a more, "see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil," approach to their loyalties. Again, I don't really care which one you are, but just to remind you, you brought it up.

My son was playing in Coleman this past weekend and got a chance to speak and sit with Avery a little while. He also got to speak very briefly with Colin Sexton who was doing a little workout and doing some 1 on 1 drills.

He said Avery was very knowledgeable and was sitting by him calling out what the other team was going to do before they did it. He also said that Avery was just super cool and all the guys in the program, high school coaches and kids just love him. He said Colin was nice and came over to talk to him and a friend for a minute while my son was in between games.

If we have a coach who has ability to truely recruit and make relationships with high school coaches, one who the team loves and believes in, one who knows the game and has a real feel for what the other team is doing and one who is out there promoting our brand and doing it right... then that is all we can ask for. That is a formula to make you win and as Saban says don't focus on winnning focus on doing all the little things right that make you win and the winning will take care of itself.

For the cpuple of guys wanting to transfer out, I take it as them seeing the writing on the wall with the stud frosh class coming in. They weren't seeing enough PT with a limited-scholly roster stocked with fair-to-decent players.

"Now we've got a couple of McDonald's All-American freshmen coming in? There goes my shot at meaningful playing time. I'm out"

That's exactly the story with Brandon Austin. One of the aforementioned issues with the basketball program. Six games last year, SLO. Austin played in six games.
