Agreed, man. I don't even watch Gameday anymore partly because of that. I hate to see it and as much as I like him I wish he would have decided to retire after that stroke. I hated when they had Dick Clark on those New Year's Rockin' Eves after his event as well. It makes me even more grateful to Lou Holtz who I also was a big fan of on College Football Final. I was sad to see him leave but at the same time was glad he chose to before we had to see him struggle on as a shadow of his former self. Time can be ruthlessly unkind. Verne made the right decision.
