They lost their lead singer when they were playing under the other name that was a play off of cranberry sauce. They went instrumental for awhile and then began holding auditions for a lead.
When she came in they were all laughing at her. Until she opened her mouth and started singing. As I recall, she was 19 at the time. They still scoffed at her after her audition and sent her "away" with four or five chords of what they were working on at the time. She came back a few days later with the lyrics, and the composition, of "Linger."
