🏈 I wonder the affect of Miami heat and humidity

Not making excuses.... just an observation....
Last year vs UGA.....UGA looked wore out frommid 3rd quarter on.... they hada tough trip to Pasadena...long game..several OTs......long trip.....emotionally tough also... i give some of that tough trip n game to Bama success...
Many have noted..Bama looked wore out vs Clemson... after half....the previous game in Miami...70 or so degrees...85 % humidity...chasing that QB...
I wondered how Bama would respond....
Blown coverages...physically beaten at LOS.....both LOSs...mental errors...Poor execution...poor tackling.....all uncharacteristic of Bama teams...
While I give Clemson 99% of credit.... the previous tough trip didnt help...part of draw I know...
Like ms50+ said last nite...."get over it”?... I am trying...honestly

Chasing that Energizer Bunny around for the 2nd half didn't help Buggs for sure. He did nothing in the game vs Clemson yet he continued to play. The depth Bama has on defense is without a doubt the worst we've seen in years. Injuries and recruiting issues.

Saw this posted on another site......reads like Nick understood Bama had big problems before and during the games on defense

QUESTION: You've said to me in the past that you tend to remember the losses much more than the wins. Outside of the scoreboard, what do you think you'll remember most about tonight?

NICK SABAN: I just have a feeling that I didn't do a very good job for our team, with our team, giving them the best opportunity to be successful. I always feel that way, even sometimes when we win, I think there's things we could do better or that I could have done better.

But particularly in this case, never really ever got comfortable with what we needed to do to win this game, especially on defense, especially the match-ups we had in our secondary versus their receivers. That was something that was kind of bothering me going into the game, and as the game unfolded, it worked out that those match-ups were a big difference in the game.

Trying to find a reason is just looking for excuses. It was humid in Miami. It was a long trip. Miller got hurt (our version of the Colt McCoy excuse?). It is what it is. Let's try not to look for excuses. Sometimes the other team just beat you.

Wasnt really. Just an observation.... we did have injuries but they also had their best DLineman suspended...one of reasons we were able to run ball as well...
So you cant subliminally use those injuries.....
Observations aren’t excuses..nor is play calling, turnovers, etc...all affect game...but they are just thoughts and observations

I hadn't read that but I thought as much. When he broke down the film, he knew we'd need a perfect game on offense because our defense just wasn't up to the task at hand.

Coach Bryant.....“I have always tried to teach my players to be fighters. When I say that, I don’t mean put up your dukes and get in a fistfight over something. I’m talking about facing adversity in your life. There is not a person alive who isn’t going to have some awfully bad days in their lives. I tell my players that what I mean by fighting is when your house burns down, and your wife runs off with the drummer, and you’ve lost your job and all the odds are against you. What are you going to do? Most people just lay down and quit. Well, I want my people to fight back.”

That would be some extremes there...

Offense shit the bed as well as the defense did, I don't care how many yards we put up on Clemson. We didn't put the points on the scoreboard.

Saban was uncharacteristically happy during the media times prior to the game....guess that was his tell.
