🏈 Hugh Freeze Resigns

The LaQuan Treadwell thing was pretty hilarious... Kid was flashing all kinds of cash on his trip saying stupid stuff on twitter/instagram. Turned out to be a heck of a player... Tunsil has already admitted to taking cash and we all know Rob Nk was on the take. Funny that a dumb ass phone call would actually brake his back, but all will come to the light eventually.

It's not over yet.
Their boosters are done with their threats as well. I was directed towards Lee Harris (bar owner, Funky's) who has been accused of giving cash to Leo. Wolken received a "threat" from him telling ol' Dan he needs to stop telling likes--"more evidence to come," according to Harris. Wolken told him to give it up...they'd met a few weeks ago, he's got Dan's email addy, etc.

As it ends up ... Harris blocks Wolken from Twitter. I've not found the exchange (haven't look in depth) but it's just another case of not knowing when to quit with those guys.

Academic fraud= Check.
Extra benefits= Check.
ACT test fraud= Check
Enticements for recruits= Check.
And the booster misconduct mentioned ...

Have you ever seen a hand that's better from the NCAA's point of view? It's the major areas we've seen schools sanctioned for. Not one, not two, but a handful of the most serious.

I suspect the date of Sept. 11th will only serve as the beginning of one of many appeals by Ole Miss. This might be settled by next spring--might.

found this on another site this morning
  • The response from NCAA to Ole Miss is devastating. The detail and the tone Julio2011 2017-08-09 21:36:02

makes it clear this is BAD BAD for Ole Miss. Wolken is hammering Ole Miss over and over on twitter. He has linked some individual pages. The first 2 paragraphs are below.

This portion of the case includes 21 alleged violations in the institution's football program that occurred over approximately five and a half years between May 2010 and January 2016. The NCAA enforcement staff identified 15 of the allegations as Level I, one allegation as Level II and five allegations as Level III. The facts uncovered during a fair and thorough investigation substantiated numerous violations and revealed a culture of noncompliance infecting the football program, both internally among personnel and
    externally among boosters.

The allegations include ACT exam fraud; the provision of substantial extra benefits and recruiting inducements, including cash payments; and a range of improper recruiting tactics and booster misconduct. Another significant factor in this case was that football personnel committed serious violations while the
investigation was ongoing. Many of the facts surrounding the underlying violations are uncontroverted. The scope and nature of violations also demonstrate that Hugh Freeze (Freeze), head football coach, failed
to satisfy the responsibilities of a head coach and the institution failed to monitor and exercise control over its athletics program.

    Here is the entire document.

    NCAA Enforcement

    Some of the details:

-NCAA states emphatically that they believe Leo Lewis received $10,000 and that he is a far more credible witness than anyone associated with Ole Miss, and they give multiple reasons why.

-NCAA does not back down from any of the charges Ole Miss has disputed. In fact, they go into detail about how obvious they are and express disbelief that OM would STILL be basing its denials on info that it is easily proven false (if OM had been interested in investigating for the truth).

-They hammer the AD, Freeze and the assistants, compliance, boosters.

-They go into detail about Kiffin's (Lane's brother) behavior and actions which constitute multiple violations.

-I would describe their take on the Ole Miss response/defense as mocking.

This has to be the worst ongoing response by a power 5 institution in the history of NCAA investigations. You would have thought by the second letter delivered they could have at least faked some type of contrition. The Hubris pouring over this program and complete disregard for accountability are really like nothing else I've read or heard about. I think the NCAA is going to insist on some rehabilitation for ole miss that would put a Catholic purgatory to shame.

This has drug on worse the Dubose debacle of the late 90's. At some point OM needs to throw in the towel and take their lumps. If they are still dealing with appeals and fighting after football season, they are idiots. That will be 3 full years of recruiting with the NCAA cloud over your head.

Take your ass reaming and start working on getting through this. I have no dog in this fight, but the best thing they can do is take the interim tag off Luke and let him have a 4 year deal. Then try and figure out where you want to go. Ole Miss will be a door mat for at least the next 4 years.

Freeze has additional phone calls that are now being linked to recruiting trips. LOL, Bjork waited too long on the damage control.

“When we say pattern, we are describing other phone numbers that when you Google them pull up similar type websites, services, however you would describe them,” Bjork said. “We took action swiftly.”

Hugh Freeze’s Ouster at Ole Miss Followed Calls to Escort Services on Recruiting Trips

Now, will the NCAA ask these "ladies of the evening" to kiss an tell? Were they for Hugh and his kinky side? Were they for his assistants that joined him on those trips? Were they for the kids that they were recruiting?

One and two just drag Freeze and family further through the mud. Number 3 KILLS the football program!!! If there ever was a case of Lack of Institutional Control, then this would be the icin on the cake!!

Only problem is the NCAA has no power to do anything but contact these ladies (if they can identify them) and should they get to a point to ask them questions, the ladies cannot be compelled to answer any questions. Now, if someone wished to pay them for their answers, that could be another thing... only issue is you will be getting what you are paying for ..."Yes, Daddy, you are the best I have ever had..." any answers would be along that line. Pay me and I will tell you what you want me to say. Unless someone just wants the notoriety, NCAA is powerless... no subpoena power for outsiders. (and can you imagine a ho coming forth and testifying without lots of cash? I think not. (book deal?)
