🏈 How Do I Start Petition/Movement For Saban Field ?

Needs to be after he retires. Also, the stadium name needs to stay the same, the two biggest guys in building the program. Let them name the field after him and rename a street after him, like 10th Avenue, make it Nick Saban Avenue, again after he retires.

As much as I respect Nick, we all thought JoePa was a good guy until we found out different.

I like the idea of renaming 10th Ave after him. The stretch from 15th Street to Bryant Drive could be renamed "Saban Way" or "Saban's Process". We could then have the teams leave along Saban's Process after being processed that afternoon!!

Well that's gonna be another 20 years then, ;-)

I really like Saban-field at Bryant Denny Stadium. How you get it going is you use hashtags. #Sabanfield on any Bama picture or post on social media. You just start spreading the word. But you need to get the hashtag going viral...Like sending the message to players who are now pros and getting them to retweet or repost using the hastag. Then the thousands of their followers start using it and pushing it. If the pro players get behind it then Saban and the program will use that as a recruiting tool. IE......NFL pros loved Bama so much they are still pushing Bama years later.

Perfect.

Now give me a moment while I figure out how to use my twitter account. :doh2:

I never got into any of the social media stuff. I dont even use the book of faces.

Once I get this all together, and push the send button my account will read 1 tweet.

If I get a retweet from Byrne, or any of the players it'll be a success though.

I'll bump this thread right before I put it out for anyone that wants to see how it goes.

Ill help you out if you get it going. are you on instagram? There is a lot of players I follow and such. I spoke with blake barnett the other night and congratulated him on a great game. He hit me back up. Ingram is very much into social media. He would retweet and shout out Bama and saban. He is big on giving love to Bama.

Hell, that entire stretch from University to Bryant is Colonial drive, then becomes 10th Ave after Bryant. Not sure why it's called colonial. It runs right by the stadium, so let's just call the whole thing from University to 15th st Saban Way.

I think because of the buildings on that little stretch, many are Colonial style, especially Gorgas. In my suggestion, I was leaving that little stretch out, as I am sure it has some historical reason besides my thinking. 10th Ave, well that is just generic and found in most any decent size town.

That's my understanding but not so much related to Gorgas as it was the Greek houses along that stretch at the time.

Yeah, but have you SEEN Colonial at all the past year? All the "colonial style" buildings are GONE, razed and replaced with brand new sorostitute houses.

The only building still left that's older than 2 years old (past Rose admin or Reese Pfifer on the west side of the drive) is Harris Hall, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be demo'ed in the next year or so.

Um, not to be a buzzkill, but Saban won't have anything to do with this, and would not be happy with people promoting this, until after the season. During the season, it's just clutter. The focus is on today and the next opponent. What do you think would happen if somebody from the press brought this up to him during a PC?

Oh....you are so right. But i dont think anyone would have the guts to bring it up. And if they did after Saban got his hand slapped a few weeks ago....he would kindly say he appreciates it but say they are focused on the next opponent,
