I have been purposely staying away, or rarely lurking, for the last couple of weeks because I am a whiny sissy-baby, and the nerves have been bad. Seem to be worse when I come here, even though that seems counterintuitive. Like, if I stayed away and tried not to think about it, I could keep control a little better.

Anyway, I just wanted to say I dearly miss the South and Alabama in particular. I am so grateful for this group, even when we don't all get along. Thanks for all being so great (most of you! :halo and thanks for sharing the love of Alabama Football.

Been a southerner all my life. Even when I live in NORTH Carolina.

But there's lots of reasons to leave the South. None of those reasons justify a move to the NORTH. However, many of those reasons are great excuses to move to the WEST. Don't even ask my feelings about the EAST.

I moved away from the South for over a decade. I know what it's like thinking about things you love from back home (like the people and 'Bama football) and how that can make you melancholy at times. But this is a great time to be a Tide fan. If we WERE to somehow lose tonight (doubtful), we'd still be 13-1 with a great shot at being back in the hunt next year. Either way it's been a great season with the promise of more to come. But, I think we'll win it. Loosen up and share the joy with your friends here on this site.
