🏈 heisman hex

alright for starters i dont believe in it . i have sat back and thought about it for quite sometime and when i do i remember the first thing mark said at the press conference after being awarded the heisman . this is all well and good i am going to enjoy it but we still got a national championship to play and since last year that has been our goal and i am going to do whatever i can to help my team be successiful.coach has these players minds right they have the right drive ,determination, and want to be successiful. that is a big change from last year that and they play with so much more emotion and heart than i have seen in a while.i just feel like they want it more their hungry for it and they will need that drive.as far as the hex all of those but one was a quarterback and none of them had coach saban he wont and i dont believe mark will allow it to phase him. the only thing is this long break between if anythingi would urge our players to as i would tell my soldiers stay highly motivated and purely dedicated

I think both teams are going to be hungry this year. We came up short vs. Florida last year, and have not been this close to NC in 17 years. Texas was gyped out of thier chance to play for one last year when OU who they beat head to head got the chance to play in the big 12 champ game instead of them, McCoy (imo) was gyped out of the heisman last year, and returned for his senior year to get a NC. I think we are going to see two very motivated teams and probably be playing against the best QB we have seen all season.

It is alright to believe in Capitalization though. "Shift" key. Its a good thing.

Hex implies something overwhich you have no control. That goes counter to everything Football is about. The Hex has more to do with the winner coming from unworthy teams than spooky VooDoo.

Its like the "SI Hex". When a guy is on the cover, he's there because he's playing hot. Its not like opposing coaches wait for that week's SI to hit the stands before realizing that they need to try to shut that guy down.

hex, curses...blah blah...all crap. lol just do not believe in it....like as a pitcher I did not jump across the line I would drag my foot across it. Pitched a few no hitters that year....curses lol

I covered my thoughts on this on a previous post a week ago I think.

I dont believe them anyway. From the Gameday jinx, or Corso picking Bama, or the SI curse. I looked back over the past 20 years and I do not believe in a Heisman curse.

In the past 20 years Heisman winners have won 8 of 19 bowl games, one Heisman winner went to no bowl, and the other 11 lost.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Four of the winners won the National Championship (Ward, Wuerffel, Woodson, and Leinart). Other winners included Palmer, Dayne, Williams, and Salaam. Ware didn’t make it to a bowl.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
The losers included <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on">Bradford</st1:place>, Tebow, Smith, Bush, White, Crouch, Weinke, George, Toretta, Howard, and Detmer.

8-11 hardly indicates a curse. It is all about how the player handles the pressure/ distraction and who they are playing.

I am confident that if Ingram was to win the Heisman he would be ready to help the team win the big prize. After all on Thursday night he could win the Doak Walker Award as the nations best running back.

Roll Tide!

I dont believe in any "jinx" or "hex".
