šŸŒŽ Government shutdown

I don't get it...
The Dems did not want a government shut down..
Then, they forced a government shut down.. Then, they blamed the Republicans for keeping it going so long...
Now, they are saying they wanted to keep the shut down going, indefinitely...
And they're doing it all on TV in front of the world.. you can't make this up..
Who you think call the TV stations.

He’s a clown and he’s lucky he isn’t up next year or he’d be voted out. He’d lose his primary for sure, he’d have to pull a Cuomo and run as an independent or maybe the repubs would accept him
Fetterman? If he's viewed as a clown and you consider him to be lucky if he's not out? That tells me even more about where the base of the party has parked itself. I've found him to be one of the more sane members of Congress throughout this whole ordeal.

One thought that strikes me here as a bit ironic. Several years ago when we started talking I mentioned your tendencies to fall into this "name calling routine." We've seen it around the nation with some "leaders" throwing fascist, etc., around. I know I've mentioned this to you a few times since the first. It's just like DIMocrats. It's cheap, childish, and doesn't accomplish anything. It's the literal opposite of discourse.

Now, with Fetterman, he's publicly stated his fellow party members need to do the same. Quit the rhetoric. You're causing more harm than good.

And those compatriots he admonished are viewing him as a clown? Because they were called out for being fake, childish?

Unrelated, but related.

I saw Psaki last night playing a clip of Schumer when he tried to "adopt" a NY tough guy routine in his commercial closing with "No Fucking Way." Psaki's criticism last night was "I want to see that outrage!"

What someone has failed to remind Jen of? It was fake. A 76 year old man who has been serving this long in the public eye NOW decides the route is "colorful language?" (Coincidentally, at the same time we started hearing others use the same verbiage.)

ON a lighter note: Hillary got a got put in jail over a meme about being able to vote by text. With that in mind ...

The meme of the sombrero on Jeffries? That one joke sent SO many people to the edge of the cliff. In political debates that was a mic drop in video format.

Oh, and it's hilariously ironic that you call him the clown in a video with Hostin.

"No one is above law!" ... and sometime later ... "Hostin's husband arrested." She's screaming about insurance and heath care and he's neck deep in fraud, in both. **
"We must pass reparations!" ...and sometime later ... "Sonny, you know your family were slave owners."

** What's so damn funny about this is how Yahoo! reported he'd been dropped from the case. That was the headline. Of course, within those articles it was the old "needle in the haystack" finding the truth. He settled out of court.

He is a clown. He’s not a moderate democrat, or a democrat at all hardly, he’s voted with the right FAR more than he should based on what he said he believes in policy wise. He’s going to get voted out when he’s up

Wait. What?

He's voted on policy but he's not following party lines when voting on policy? Is that what you're saying?

Which votes has he made that were against his voiced political views? I don't follow him closely enough to have an answer.

I'm having a hard time reconciling "clown" when he's one of the few Democrats who is speaking reasonably on a lot of things. Namely, in this situation, the violence and violent rhetoric. I appreciated him telling Katie Couric recently that while he didn't agree with a lot of what Charlie Kirk believed, "you don't shoot them."

Lots of dems said that very thing. Stupid morons online were the ones joking about it or whatever.

He’s voted with republicans more times than he should have based on what he stood for when he was running, he lied or at the very least told half truths to get elected. The people of Pennsylvania are not happy with him and he’s damn lucky he’s not up for reelection or he’d be gone next year. It’s also why people want Schumer gone from leadership.

I am asking what/where are you talking about? Which votes?

He voted to reopen the government. Okay. He's stood apart from the rhetoric. Okay. He's voted to confirm some appointees. Okay. He supported the Len Riley Act. Okay. He openly supported the peace deal with Hamas. Okay.

Where's the issue? What I'm seeing here is it isn't about the issues he's voting for: it's about who he is siding with.

So, I'm left with the same question. It's because he's not voting along party lines all the time? That's the reason he's a clown?

He ran on ā€œfighting the republicansā€, etc and he’s voted with them at damn near every turn. He ran as a democrat which isn’t republican, there’s a reason the sides don’t agree politically and he has voted and sided with them at near every turn, he lied to the people that voted for him which is why he will be voted out when he’s up, the same why Pelosi was pressured to retire, she wasn’t going to be reelected.

This, to me, reads as it's not about what, it's about whom. Who are you voting with. Not, what are you voting for.

I can see you're not going to provide examples, just a refusal to back off an absolute, positively indefensible position.

EVERYONE is right of Warren, except Sanders. She is not a measuring stick. She is a foul pole.

Would it surprise you that Fetterman is to the left of Schiff? He is. I'm not counting dots, but he's in the middle of the pack, probably a third in from the right, among his D counterparts.

I didn’t say anything about Warren, she’s obviously very left. So, not sure what she has to do with anything I said.

As for Fetterman is left of Schiff, that very site you show also has Warnock close to center and to the right of Fetterman which is laughable, Fetterman isn’t left of Warnock.

As for not providing examples, you and everybody else has access to Google just as I do.

You can interpret it however you see fit. I don’t vote people, I vote for policies, I’m not a MAGA voter, we’ve discussed this at length.
You're right we've talked about this at length. What bearing does that have here?

We aren't talking about your vote. We're talking about his. How you vote doesn't mean a thing when it comes to him, his state, and how he votes. You mentioned his votes. I asked which ones along with listing a few examples.

Unless his vote(s) is one that is demanded to be a long party lines?

You cannot run on certain policies then vote counter to those. He sold people on certain things and has voted against the party numerous times. As I said everybody here has the same access to Google as I do, if they want examples.
