Why? It makes no sense to continue paying for something, in a "crisis," when said crisis no longer exists. A guy making five hundred thousand a year gets a subsidy? Are you kidding me?

Just wait it's coming... the commanders of the bases can do this anytime because "comrats" or outdoor living assistance is not being paid.. that means all off base living can be suspended because of government shut down.. that means he can force all people living in apartments to move into barracks to ensure they are being properly fed.. he can make all active duty officers and active duty enlisted move into the barracks... and families to move into on base available housing..
When Clinton took over, commending officers of the bases, made a lot of sailors where I was move back onto the barracks because of his budget cuts in the military.. they're off base living assistance money was cut out. .. both officer and enlisted barracks filled up to the max, especially if they were single.. and so did the mess halls..
