| FTBL Going over film against Ole Miss.

On this particular play, Ole Miss is in 10 Personell, Bama lines up in their base nickel defense. Ole Miss motions over the stacked receiver from the boundary, hands it off to said receiver. Blackshire comes downhill, keeps his shoulders squared to the line of scrimmage, sheds the Right tackles block while still keeping his shoulders squared, flows over to the ball carrier, plays it inside out, squares his shoulders back up to the ball carrier, and makes a fantastic tackle. Blackshire played this beautifully, kept his head and eyes up the whole play, was physical with his hands when taking on a blocker, fundamentally sound the whole way through. Read it, and executed it beautifully. What I'm not sure about this play is if he was called to fill that particular gap, because he came downhill fast. If not, then he must of recognized what they were about run, honestly hope that's the case.... but we were really aggressive on 3rd down the whole game, so it may be the other.
I love how the linebackers are playing this season, they've been playing really really well.... especially Lawson, hope we get him back soon. They've been making impactful tackles, been physical taking on blocks, shedding them, and making plays.... playing downhill, playing well in coverage. Also love how we're rotating in our Linebackers more this season, it's nice not having the starters exhausted by the fourth quarter because they've played almost all the snaps in the game. Bala has done a good job with his group this year so far, hope they keep getting better.
