With the “moving goalposts” that the committee has used this year, I wouldn’t be surprised if we were left out. This team isn’t the same one that went through that “ranked gauntlet” midseason. We are beat the hell up. I could see them putting us in using SMU from last year, but I could see us being left out a la FSU the year before.

I also won’t buy yellerwood. Seriously, a lumberyard around here sells a competitor of yellerwood & I buy that! None of my $$ is going to the barn, tennersee, LSU uga or any of the others.
I pull against the saints, falcons, braves - all of them. I don’t want any of those fanbases to have anything to cheer for!
I’m petty but I make up for it by being vindictive!

I wonder if being a recent spoiled bama fan (from the Saban years ) and after watching that offensive/ special team performance just leaves me shaking your head wondering if im just being to picky i mean we are 10-2 regular season, in the toughest conference and lost conference championship with 4 starters out and really 5 with Riley being out with his jaw.

That’s a lot of what I think. The Vandy win looks better every day. It looks like we’ll get Cuevas back & he’s been huge loss.

Only thing that does give me pause is our trajectory outlook. We seemed to have peaked at Tennessee and have been spiraling ever since.

I'm far from saying we can compete for a natty this year, but you need to realize how NIL and the portal are distributing talent and thinning out rosters. In a few years 3-loss teams entering the playoff will be commonplace. Heck, try next season in the SEC when we add a 9th conference game.

But are we a 2 loss team or a 3 loss team counting the championship game. Is it different than the regular season seeing how not all teams are subject to having to face another really good team at the end of the year ? Committee said they wouldn’t penalize a championship loser but we did look bad.

Could ND or miami run our schedule and have a better result ? Probably not that’s where SOS and SOR come into play. What do they hold most dear ? We will find out tomorrow.
