I heard him on the radio. It sounded like Tebow's promise a couple of years ago. If we respond like Fl did, PROMISE AWAY, GMAC! He was simply letting us (the fans) know that our team knew how crappy they played. IMO, he was calling out our players (himself included)! WHICH NEEDS TO BE DONE! They played like they did not want to be there, and quite frankly, it was embarassing. We will now see what kind of players we have. Do they rise to the challenge? Or fold, like a cheap suit? My bet is that this week, they are getting back to what got us there.....Hard work, sweat, blood, weights and determination. Gotta get that fire back in the belly, ya know?
I do put this loss 100% on the players' shoulders. Why? Because EVERY TD that was thrown on us, we had a man there, in great coverage. Mark misjudged a ball or two and Dre' was all over his receiver. For the life of me, I still can't figure out what happened to Dre'. It looked like he forgot what in the hell he was supposed to do when the ball was in the air or he hesitated in deciding between intercepting or knocking the ball down. That's just three of them. The first TD was blown coverage. An expensive mental mistake, but it does happen. I hope this loss/feeling sinks in and resonates deep within our players. I think it will, and they will respond. Talk is cheap, as some of our younger players learned this weekend. Too much lip service on the field the past couple of weekends. This loss should put a muzzle on the guys that need it, and let the older guys relay to them what running your mouth does for the team. It gets your ass beat!
