No i didn't get to go to the game....my neighbors kid had a birthday party saturday morning. After the party we decide to go to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and watch some of the Auburn A-day while we were there. We were recording Bama's A-Day to watch later.

So we walk in and get seated near the front door facing the biggest TV in the place....Keep in mind I live in Opelika. Neighbor walks over to the waitress and ask her to put the Big TV on ESPNU for the Auburn game. She stops him mid sentence and says "ok but we will be changing it back to ESPN when Alabama starts"

I just found it funny that in "Auburn territory" all the big TV's and many of the smaller TV's would be put in the Bama game rather than the Auburn game. Especially when looking thru the restaurant it was obvious that most of the people were dressed in orange and blue.

It really doesn't surprise me that much. My parents still live in Opelika and talk about all the Alabama flags flying during the season.

I took the kids down there last summer for several days and went shopping at Tiger Town. I came back home with all kinds of Alabama stuff from Hibbett Sports and Dick's. My aubie husband looked at me when I got home and said he thought I had gone to Opelika for the week not Tuscaloosa!

Then I was down there Thanksgiving and went shopping the day of the Alabama-Auburn game. The parking lot and stores were packed with Alabama fans and merchandise. I'm sure Tuscaloosa has some Auburn fans, but I'd be shocked to see that much orange in blue in Tuscaloosa ever (even for Iron Bowl when we're home).
