🏈 FSU screwed that up good (from the 2 1/2 yard line)

Just....wow! That was a debacle. That was mismanaged from front to back, top to bottom.

Just for craps and giggles.....what play would you have called to get it in the end zone there and win it? Down doesn't matter, just give me a play.

Personally, I think that FSU has a quarterback and he's a play maker. He got 'em down there and I would have called his number had it been me. Miami's pass rush was coming fast and furious on the edge, but not up the middle. I think the Seminoles missed a golden opportunity there by not spreading them out and then running the QB draw. The middle seemed wide open.

Video Recap of the Game

`Well first play Id call wouldve been some sort of drag to the outside. Second wouldve been the rollout they called. McElroy wouldve been on the money with that throw, just from watching his rollouts yesterday.

Horrible time management though. You dont call the option and use the timeout as early as they did. They werent close enough. Shouldve tried to pass it first, the time out is just to show that you can run it in that situation so playaction is still open. Then if you get really close use it on 4th down if you dont make it after power running on third.

My take on the game is, dang I wish we would have gotten that commitment from Greg Reid.:wife:
He's going to be a real player, but Dre is better and he didn't see the field vs VT. Kinda lets one know where FSU is and where we are athletically.

FSU's Offensive Coordinator cost them the opportunity to win the game. They wasted 20-25 seconds trying to change personnel when they should have run a play with the players on the field, a QB draw or fade. Even if they don't make it they still saved about 10-15 seconds and their last TO. Obviously the OC had not thought through this possible scenario prior to the game and formulated a what if plan. Every good coach I've ever known always had a "what if" for every conceivable situation. There's a reason some coaches seem to always thrive in those type situations, preparation, preparation, and more preparation.

.

To further expound on your first paragraph...both Robert Quinn (UNC) and Stephon Gilmore (USCe) are in starting roles and excelling...but, would have to be working hard to crack our 2 deep as well.
