In baseball, ump will make you stay in the box. Can’t lean into a pitch, has to be an attempt to get out of the way or just stand and wear it.

That's right. I always thought there had to be the intent to get out of the way. Obviously a Skenes fastball inside ain't allowing much time for movement and that is taken into co siderstion, but this...
