He has a full plate.

From a business standpoint this makes sense. On days where GameDay isn't at the location of the ABC game there's a plane carrying Herbie there already.

Is FS1 becoming the only option left for Brando IF he stays covering college football?

Can we hope he quietly disappears never to be heard from again?

i wonder the same things about vern and gary.....

I'm starting to be alright with Verne and Gary, they get on my nerves from time to time but I can live with them.

What I was REALLY worried about was Verne retiring and Brando taking his spot. I'd rather be water boarded.

Thank goodness that took care of itself.

I wonder if his obvious bias against Bama was one of the factors that worked against Brandeau. Although ESPN has made inroads, CBS IS the face of SEC football. Alabama IS SEC football. CBS didn't need anyone like that in the booth, and realized it.

What are the chances of ACC getting their own network? Brando is doing a ton of basketball stuff with the ACC this year. Maybe he will go over there and work.

It's already underway, so to speak.

It took roughly three years for the SEC and ESPN to get their platform from the idea to the launch stage and the ACC is working with that window as well. Right now they are targeting the 2016-2017 area.

A lot of pros for them to do so...largest conference footprint out of the Big 5, the grant of media rights agreements in place, etc. There would have to be some negotiations with Raycom and Fox to buy back some of the broadcasting rights.
