The play calls this series have been head scratchers

This is the exact drive I speak of when I feel Sarkesian either takes his foot off the pedal or he is attempting to see what new plays will do. We have a chance to put a team away and then we have a drive just like this that simply goes against everything we have shown we can do in the game.

Notre Dame doesn't have an answer for us, yet we do that. Makes zero sense. We should score every possession from what I'm seeing. Not saying I expect that, but we ran up the field on them three times very quickly.

I believe they were trying to use up the remainder of the half and keep the defense off the field. If they get the PI call they accomplish that and score again also.
