On the issue of the interception...the media mouthpieces keep showing a closeup of the foot, while never showing the ball in the same photo. His foot was on the white line when he secured the ball. If even your pinky toe is touching the white line, it is incomplete. The right foot was down in bounds, but the ball was not in his hands yet. He caught it as his left foot touched the paint...ergo incomplete. His right foot doesn't matter. While you only have to get one foot in bounds in college football, the other one cannot be out of bounds.
