📝 Five-star UGA running back commit considering switch to Alabama

If he wants to compete for championships......
If he wants to develop to his maximum potential.....
If he wants a long NFL career.....
He comes to Bama.

If he wants to be rode to death....
He goes to Uga.

A RB only has so many carries in him.

At what point are we too loaded. Tenpenny on the way, 5-Star Scarborough thought to be a Class of '14 RB all but assured to be Tenpenny's underclassman. And there is also the matter of all those other studs that already wear Crimson.

Is there a point where that actually happens? :peaceful:

Do you remember having to rely on Aaron Johns to run the ball?

"too loaded" in the sense that we fail to get the talent that we want because a recruit does not want to have to count on a Aaron Johns exception.

Admitting that we are not a loaded as we would like to be, but also admitting that we have more talent than most, where so our chances lay of picking up this young man in light of the competition?

I'd say they are pretty damn strong considering his de-commit from Georgia followed his visit to Tuscaloosa.

Stepping back a few posts, on Scarborough. When he camps in Tuscaloosa in July he's playing on working out as a receiver. Who knows, he might end up playing behind Tenpenny and there's just as good of a chance he's playing with OJ Howard. I heard he's recently measured at 6'2". A lot of different places he could contribute.

That is would be a heck of a frame on a Receiver -- 6'2" and built like a Julio Jones...on top of the reported sub 4.4./40. Already a 5-Star RB, that makes for a heck of a option to flex into the H-Back. The offensive equivelant to the Jack.

How the kid reacts will be interesting. He could say " with all those arrests and suspensions Georgia is a mess" and take them off his list. He could also say "no Crowell = earlier PT. I'm back in."

He would have had early PT Crowell or not.

He's said in the last week that he's pretty certain he knows where he wants to attend school. Others I've spoken with say that's an understatement and Henry being polite.

I can assure you while he may look at this story in that light, I seriously doubt he does.

Later on today I'll grab his tweet about this...IF I remember to do so.

Praying for him is a given, however how he or anyone else was raise does not in anyway justify or excuse being so at odds with norms/rules/laws that the community acts to remove you from society for up to ten years...if he did do what he was charged to do (innocent until proven otherwise).

Mr. Henry does hint at one angle that I have not thought of. "Because everyone wasn't [made] the same." In this time of war, when the phrase "PTSD" is becoming known and almost cliche, I wonder if the "had a rough childhood" will become the standard PR line in instances like these. I wonder if this was the sort of thing Mr. Henry spoke about. (Regardless, my first paragraph still applies.)
