🏈 🔥 Hot Seat 2025 / Coaching Carousel:

It would have to be the defense you were referring to... because only one receiver and one tight end can actually catch a football..
There are guys on both sides to be honest. DL and WR room to be more specific. OL and QB, stay away from.
There are more options than you think, you’re just letting the awful play of the OL and QB cloud your judgement.

Yeah but for some reason they couldn't develop it... could a lot of it be uncoachable?
I think it falls on coaching and lack of development. I think you could add Coleman and Thompson to the WR room and both would shine. The RB Cobb is pretty talented.
They have some DL that get after it as well. The defensive side plays hard for Durkin, so I wouldn’t use uncoachable.

"They won’t do it. Not until the season is over. Theres a $5mill difference in buyout if they do it now and waiting until the season is over."

That is a quote sent from a friend that is all Auburn.. not me... but I wonder if that has something to do with the reason he's still there..
The reason the buyout goes down is because he continues to earn a salary....and they continue to suffer under his services.

Former Alabama head coach Mike Shula has been “relieved of his duties” as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at South Carolina, head coach Shane Beamer announced Sunday.

The move comes a day after the Gamecocks totaled just 197 yards of offense in a 30-14 loss to Ole Miss. South Carolina (3-6) currently ranks last in the 16-team SEC in scoring offense (19.7 points per game), total offense (294.1 yards per game), rushing offense (100.8 ypg) and 15th in passing offense (164.8 ypg).

I still think we did him kinda dirty. He took over our program at a dark time and got us to see some light. He stunk as a head coach, don’t get me wrong though.

I hope he is still welcomed as an alumni or has been in the past.

Agree, especially the last part. But at UA, he was in over his head (which was to be expected), his problem was he didn't handle it well.

I may have told this. My cousin was a stand-up comedian. He was paid to do a show for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was introduced to Shula (OC I think) who had been told what a big Bama fan my cousin was. Shula asked my cousin if he was a big Bama fan. When told “yes” he responded “I used to be”.
