šŸˆ šŸ”„ Hot Seat 2025 / Coaching Carousel:

Texted an auburn friend who is a mid level booster, but mingles at games with high level boosters... he's convinced that was High's last game. He normally has a good feel and solid insight for what's going on. Guess we will see soon....
I honestly did not expect Auburn to lose that game. I thought they'd beat the shit out of UK and give Hugh at least 1 more week. Now? He may be gone by morning.

And I have to post this again...

I had auburn winning too just based on how bad the Kentucky offense is and game being in auburn. Figured a 16-9 type win. Stoops obviously wanted to vindication after last year when aubun ran up and down the field on them.

I mean, if they did fire him…..who would want that job? That would be their third head coach firing in like 6 years

Well, they are unlikely to be able to give out a discount rate this time around like they got to use with Freeze. If they go with Durkin, they'll get a little bit of one, but other than that they'd have to go dumpster diving for a Jimbo. So then, unless they grab someone like James Franklin (which is unlikely) who would allow for the offset language discount, then they are stuck having to pay sticker prices. And whether it's a Sexton guy, an Armstrong guy, or someone else, anyone with any sense is going to back auburn into a corner with a favorable guaranteed buyout. Overall (in the CFB landscape), it's a good job, but it just comes with a ton of unwanted strings. And they have very little leverage on their end right now to make deals.

Charles Kelly?

Well he's as good as done. AL.com has turned on him.

@TerryP serious question: Is the 'leadership' at AL.com as tilted toward the barn as we are led to believe?
It doesn't square really with their liberal stance (on everything else) and the fact that 106% of barn students are blond chicks (usually conservative).
But really, you've worked there - what's the real deal?
