šŸˆ šŸ”„ Hot Seat 2025 / Coaching Carousel: Golesh to AU, Kiffin to LSU.

With the writing on the wall, I think Sumrall ends up at Ole Miss instead of Florida. with Auburn job gone, Florida, Ole Miss, UCLA, and Penn State still open. I think Ole Miss will hire within a day or two. Florida is the biggest loser right now missing out on several candidates.

He's got some type of meeting today discussing what he's gonna do, doesn't he? I know he's been talking to Florida, I figured that was probably it. Maybe he'll hold off and try to get the Ole Miss job now.

First impression on Golesh to auburn... he's better than promoting Durkin, and he'll keep Durkin, so there's that. And maybe he turns out to be their Heupel, but this will be a massive step up for him... and now the Heupel structured offense is in two places in the league (twice on UA's schedule each year). Teams will continue to adjust, Bama and UGA included. On a side note, it isn't an attractive system for the NFL... the chance for big stats and the money will lure good players, but he will run into some recruiting issues in the SEC that he'll have to overcome. Bottom line, they screwed up on Sumrall... a guy that IMO is a much better coach and "program leader". I like Golesh as a person and he's good at what he does, but he's going to have a difficult job in auburn, IMO. I will give them a B- on the hire though.

I like Golesh as a person - not anymore! Fuck him! lol!

Just a question, does LSU have that much money to do what they’re currently doing? Massive buyouts, coaching salaries, and NIL commitments.

No. That’s why they initially claimed that Kelly wasn’t fired and wasn’t owed his $54 million. All coaches don’t have guaranteed contracts. Usually just the HC and maybe OC and DC.
