I'm seriously thinking LSU will get exposed properly (UF didn't do the job) this weekend. Too much Bama D and better offensive play gets it done this weekend. The Hat's downward spiral gets the stamp and the LSU faithful have their nightmare come true.
LSwho has done some window dressing all season long to hide or mask alot of their problems. The competition has helped them out as well. Like you, I agree that we will expose them and the fall will begin.
To add to my reasoning a bit, I just think about how the defense kept several good QB's at bay. Mallet, Snead (although I don't know that he counts anymore), and Garcia. Those offenses looked bad against us. What has LSU done that would lead anyone to believe they will be any different?

The only thing that separates LSU is the receivers have the ability to bailout the QB. Jefferson has not challenged many teams down field, but it should be interesting if he does. I think he is going to have to take those chances in order to move the ball.
Jefferson plays backyard ball. which on most accounts wouldn't give him a shot against a good defense, but i would argue that VTs offense did as well against us as anyone and that's exactly how Tyrod played.
to add to that i think Jefferson is a better all around player than Tyrod especially when it comes to throwing the ball. Jefferson has a cannon.

This mirrors my thoughts completely. Especially when I hear comparison to Snead, Mallett, and other offense the defense has faced this year.
I don't believe for a second that Jefferson is as good of a QB as say Mallett. I don't think he's as mobile as someone like Tyrod Taylor. But saying he possesses attributes of both is a fair description.
I do believe Jefferson is going to make mistakes this weekend. I also believe those mistakes are going to come when Crowton puts him in position to make those mistakes.
I think Tennessee is going to win. I hate it, but that is what my gut tells me. Of course, it told me that about Ole Miss and South Carolina. I hope I keep being wrong!

Assuming Bama doesn turn the ball over and fall behind early, I think we will see LSU be as aggressive as they have this year. Jefferson will have to take a chance - and it will probably result in some long plays. It will also result in Mark Barron running the other way with the ball or a quick three and out.
