Sounds like Cornwell has an unhealthy need for attention that was expressed in a most inappropriate way. If he can't control that need I don't see how he can command the team's respect as a QB.

Thanks CrimsonBoz and Atticus for all the reports! Was out all day and didn't get to read until late last night/this morning. As far as qb goes, I'm pulling for Bateman. Simply because of his athletic ability( being able to make a play with his feet when play breaks down ), plus he has a better arm. Throws a pretty ball with zip on it. He's performed well in game like situations. His ceiling is a lot higher than Morris. I think once he gets game experience he can get the playbook down more ( Morris has him beat in this.) I look for both to play against whisky. Man am I excited about the defense! Good lord is all I can say! Roll Tide!

Eh, not really. Sounds like a second year college kid who can't handle his booze. Now it comes down to how badly he wants to regain the respect of his coaches and teammates... Just a week or two ago he was "the guy". With this group of guys it doesn't seem that difficult for him to get back in the mix

I hope the staff doesn't lose sight of the run game in the scrimmages. I realize they're trying to find a starting QB, but the running backs and offensive line need to get into rhythm and know their identity.

well, i learned nothing. don't know who our starting qb is, not for sure if our OL can block enough to have a dominating run game, the fg kicker still the same - inconsistent, the D is good, really good, drake may be the 2nd best rb in the nation behind chubbs and our secondary leader #5 gets beat deep by a completely inexperienced qb. Well, Roll Tide. Lets win them all!

well, i learned nothing. don't know who our starting qb is, not for sure if our OL can block enough to have a dominating run game, the fg kicker still the same - inconsistent, the D is good, really good, drake may be the 2nd best rb in the nation behind Derrick "El Tractorcito" Henry and our secondary leader #5 gets beat deep by a completely inexperienced qb. Until we play someone else other that each other we don't know the story. Then again until we beat someone that has beaten somebody you still will have doubts or should. After the Ole Missy game we should have a pretty good idea.

Correct, Cyrus of last year/and this year is rarely out of position, he fights genetics. Mel helped him find other ways to get the edge. He had one ball caught like that on him all day. I have plenty of faith in him.
