It's funny how different people can watch the same scrimmage and have a different perspective. If you go read the scrimmage reports from the Bamamag board, most of those sunshine pumpers think Morris did well but Coker did better. I've seen and heard enough on my own that Coker is a throw of the dice every time he's out there. Sooner or later, you're gonna roll snake eyes. I'm much more comfortable with Morris and/or Bateman at QB than Coker. I said on Bamamag, Coker will be the MVP if he plays, you just don't know for which side.

Another poster mentioned Wiskey blitzing will leave the TE routes open. Have you forgotten who we have playing TE? OJ "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" Howard? Maybe one of the other guys can step it up there, but I've given up on OJ.

Honestly at this point OJ should be a WR and leave the tight ending to Brandon Greene who can block oh and catch crazy. Had Leon false start Brown not ruined his perfect play against LSU Greene would be bama history.

I don't know about their corners, but they have a genetic freak at safety that plays "center field" and will roam sideline to sideline. IF (and I say IF because I don't think they will be able to stop the run) they are able to stop the run, the offense will need to be able to attack the intermediate 10-15 yard level of the defense.

They are going to try to force an unproven quarterback to beat them. I think it's going to be an uphill battle for them to stop the run though.

May be me you are referring to. Lol. OJ is my Michael Bowman for all intents and purposes. I always held out hope that Bowman would perform up to the standards that his physical gifts seemed to indicate. I held that hope to the end. I will hold that same hope with Howard.

I'm with you efdg. I will hold out hope that OJ is our J. Graham until the day he does it or graduates. Just to much talent. Plus, this is get paid year for OJ. It's amazing how some guys just show up in their Junior year

McEvoy is one of the best athletes in the country. He could start on offense (WR, QB for some) or defense for most every college in the country

If the staff is really leaning this way, I hope to god his rewards far outweigh his risks as the season progresses. Like, during the Wisky game. No time to take 2 or 3 games to get his sea legs.

I'd trade the lot for a frickin' JPW at the moment.

He may have been prone to laying out all night drinking before bowl games, but he could stand in the pocket, deliver a strike and take a frickin hit on the chin like nobody else.

Here's my take on Coker's vaunted arm strength. Sure, he can throw far. But based on what I've heard and seen, his throwing motion reminds me a trebuchet. The velocity is powerful and trajectory is far, but the windup takes forever. That makes nearly every one of his throws that are over 5 yards... late.
