This has gotten to be borderline insane! Once again back full circle. With what we know, why in the world would we go with Coker? I hope I'm wrong, but this may not turn out pretty. I miss Blake.....#runtheball
Trust me it goes against everything to this point physically seen in practice and a scrimmage. So I'm thinking it's he has more potential upsides or something along those lines.

The coaching staff just went from brilliant to idiots, simply through the assumption of the selection of Coker in an attempt to do what they think is best for this year's team. Okay...

The coaching staff sees all the practices, looks at all the films multiple times. Their jobs depend on making the correct evaluations on this and other positions. Are we really ready to assume that the HC and his staff have taken a collective leave of their senses, the staff that has averaged 12+ wins a season since 2008? Time to take a chill pill everybody. Relax and wait and see.

Yes, I know that my glasses are tinted crimson, but I believe that there is more than one quarterback among these five that we can win with.

I think it make sense. They are going to give Coker every chance to redeem himself... I do expect run heavy at first before giving Coker easy throws to get him in a rythm... build his confidence up and maybe get him to stop thinking and just play the game. Another thing going on for Coker is that last year he did decent job when he was on the field and i think thats what they wre banking on .. his game experience...

One of the things Jay Barker was talking about on the radio this past week is how some QB's are game time players. He used Ty Detmer as an example. Said that when they were together (with the Pats, I think)......said he couldn't hit he broad side of the barn during practice. During the games a light switch would go off and he would play lights out. Maybe Coker can be that way..............dare to dream.

Yeah, I doubt that's Coker. I've seen him in games. His release is still slow and so is his decision-making.

Man, I know Saban and Kiffin think they know what they're doing, but I wish they would have realized that they don't. The smart thing would have been to consult all the experts on this board who, from reading other people's interpretations, have so wisely deduced what the clear course of action is.
Thank you! And if they had listened to our play calling we would've been in the championship game last year.

He won't make stupid mistakes during the games. He didnt have any turnovers when he played in garbage time last season. Saban is not going to put a qb out there that he knows is going to make turnovers. Most likely Coker has shed his gunslinger mentality and has bought in to a Saban style qb. If not we have the quintessential game manager in Morris waiting in the wings.

I hope he's on a choke chain. Knowing Saban, he won't be.
Do you really know Saban? Ask him if I can get a couple of pics with him. As for me, I'm an arm chair QB not an arm chair coach. CNS makes a hell of a lot more than I do and I'm pretty darn sure he knows a little more about the game and about coaching than I do. So, if he thinks JC is ready to go and trots him out there first, I will support my QB.
